Two people.
One record.
A small shared log between two people, where an entry doesn’t count until both of you confirm it. Once sealed, neither side can edit it. That’s the whole product.
$ witness --explain
Every record passes through three states. There’s no fourth.
One pair, two people, no exceptions.
A sentence, a photo, or a voice note. It sits pending until sam sees it.
Neither of you can edit or delete it after that. The record stands.
If the other party taps Dispute instead, the entry stays flagged forever. Both of you can add a single explanation. It never seals. That's by design.
$ witness --who
Witness is for any pair of people whose shared life would benefit from an undisputed record.
Not built for teams, businesses, or anything court-bound.
$ witness --not
Things people sometimes mistake Witness for. None of them.
witness is for proving, not talking.
notes are private. a witness entry doesn’t exist until two people sign it.
tasks are about what you’ll do. witness is about what you did.
witness records are personal records of mutual agreement, not certified evidence. we make no claim about admissibility in any court or formal proceeding.

Yes, from inside the app. It takes thirty days for full purge. Sealed entries you authored remain in your pairs' records, attributed to a deleted user. We don't let one party rewrite shared history by leaving.
iPhone first. Android within four weeks of iOS launch. Same app, same features, free.
