Pairing

How do I pair with someone?

Tap “Pair with someone” from the home screen. Witness generates a six-character code. Send it to the other person via any channel. They open Witness and tap “Enter pairing code.” The pair is formed when both of you confirm.

My pairing code expired.

Codes are valid for ten minutes. Just generate a new one.

Can I be in more than one pair?

Yes. You can pair with your sibling about your parent’s care, your co-parent about the kids, and your roommate about the apartment — all at once. Each pair has its own private timeline. Pairs cannot be merged or cross-referenced.

Account

How do I change my display name or avatar?

Account settings → Edit profile.

How do I change my phone number?

Email support@stalwartcrest.com from the email associated with your account, with the new phone number. We’ll verify and migrate your pairs.

How do I delete my account?

Account settings → Delete account. Full purge in thirty days.

Entries

Can I edit a Pending entry I just submitted?

No. Once submitted, the entry text is frozen. If you made a mistake, log a correction as a new entry.

Can I edit or delete a Sealed entry?

No. Ever. That’s the central guarantee of the product.

What happens if my paired user disputes my entry?

The entry is flagged as Disputed. Both of you can add a single short note explaining your position. The entry never becomes Sealed.

Notifications

I’m not getting push notifications.

Check Settings → Notifications on your phone and confirm Witness has permission. Inside Witness, check Account → Notifications.
